Transformation Fascination

Transformation FascinationIt’s already feeling like spring in New England. A warmer than average winter has us seriously daydreaming about the changes that will be happening all around us in nature both big and small. At Infinity Group we love a good transformation, we’re literally in business to create positive change; to make work beautiful and more inspiring for the companies and people we serve.

“If you want to be great and successful, choose people who are great and successful and walk side by side with them.”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you need even more transformation inspiration, you can find some more quotes here to get you motivated.

In that spirit, we want to take you to a construction site Infinity Group is currently working on. This kind of transformation is fascinating to watch!

Drywall is snapping, dust is flying, and fistfuls of debris are flying out a chute out a third-floor window to a dumpster in the parking lot. It’s Demolition Day at our project in New Haven, CT. A growing research facility can see the potential through the current reality: a carved-up space lacking natural light, flow, and charisma.

Your behind the scenes look at our construction crews at work.

A few months ago, we were asked to manage this project in an historic building. Right now, there are employees working on the first and second floors of the building. Recently the company announced they were expanding and took advantage of the opportunity to move even more employees onto the third floor.

There are many stages of construction. The demolition stage requires just as much planning as the construction stage. Coordination between all the trades is necessary to demo a space down to the shell. Several pre-construction meetings take place with the client and the Infinity Group construction team.

The Infinity Group Project Lead has arranged for steel framing members to be brought in the fastest, most efficient way- through the window! Look at that crane, does that operator have skill or what?

Things are going to get even more interesting as we see our next phase unfold. Stay tuned.
